Meet Agave Resources
We are partnering on the journey to net zero by building a viable supply chain of Australian Agave products for the sustainable future of food, fibre and fuel.
Founded in 2022 from the founder’s passion for agave and triggered by an Asia-Pacific supply chain opportunity to supply agave as energy feedstock, Agave Resources set out to develop and scale large-volume commercial production across Australia’s northern regions. Cultivated for over 150 years across Latin America, agave has established uses including alcohol, fibre, compostable bioplastics, biofuel and functional food ingredients such as syrup and inulin.
Today, Agave Resources is focused on investing in and developing the commercialization and aggregation of an Australian-grown supply of agave products for multiple end uses. As the bioeconomy evolves, and technology such as Alcohol to Jet is proven at scale, exciting opportunities emerge to grow this highly water efficient and versatile crop, particularly for the supply of feedstock for ethanol based Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Renewable Diesel.
The future of feedstock for low carbon liquid fuels (LCLFs) will need to be climate change adapted and non-food competing . Agave's sustainability and high productivity mean it has exceptional capability to produce such renewable, nature-based energy resources while adapting to Australia’s drying continent and vast marginal cropping opportunity.

Jennifer Wainwright
Jennifer is a passionate entrepreneur and finance specialist who works at the intersection of agriculture, sustainability and future renewable energy feedstocks.
Based in Queensland, Australia, Jennifer is an agave grower and market builder who has spent almost a decade studying and developing the Australian agave opportunity.
